This guy seemed incredibly happy, letting the birds feed off his hands and ignoring the rest of the world.
Textured Wall
What can I say, I really like textured walls & similar, especially when they give a monochrome effect without actually being mono like this one.
The nights really are starting to get dark again... if only we had this sort of bright light here.
Lantern
I have no idea why someone appeared to have abandoned a pair of walking sticks on Kensington High Street but they did.

Posture
Somehow this doesn't really feel like Edinburgh, though it is. I like the leading lines, and for once I'm actually shooting CineStill in tungsten light.
George Square
This is not the most original shot of a stage ready for a gig with all the smoke and the fancy lighting but I'd never quite managed to get something that worked well enough before so here you are.
Ready
Dusk
No idea what these umbrellas were about at all, looked to be just advertising if anything.

Elvis Lives
The graffiti was what initially caught my eye here, then the different textures from the concrete, the paving stones, the road and the paint together with the red and yellow splashes.
Deck
I've no real idea what this observation deck was all about but the spiral thing on top adds something and the colour works really well with the sand.
There’s textures all the way here, plus some strong lines and the contrast of the woman walking along the path.
Crossing
The muted colours and the textures of the water, roof and wall really work for me here - the building is kind of grim which matches the sky and water has just been turned black by the reflections of the clouds. About ten minutes after I made this photo the rain clouds you can see arrived and they were torrential. My 40 year old Minolta CLE survived just fine even though there's no real attempt at weather sealing, my shiny new noise cancelling Bluetooth headphones not so much.
A storm is coming
If you're at the bottom of Arthur's Seat here at just the right time the shadows cast by Sailsbury Crags come right up to the bottom of the ridge like this.

Priorities
They were rebuilding this housing estate but it was great to see that they'd got their priorities straight and had got a vending machine set up even while everything was still being built around it. The somewhat lurid colours that Ektar gave were just an added bonus really.
Dancing the night away
On the Monday after the Notting Hill Carnival I was walking home past King's Cross when I happened upon a bunch of people from the carnival playing music and dancing outside the station.
And the band played on
Miryam & Manuel
The Bronica SQ is not a traditional street camera, especially not with the prism on top, but it's surprisingly pleasant to use once you get over the fact that it weighs 2.5kg and this was not a million miles off anything I got of this pair with my modern digital camera.
This wasn't the best year for photos from the Fringe while I was around, the weather wasn't great and there were lots of people in street clothes playing guitars and so on.
Indeed
I find the combination of the lines of the cycle path, the alignment of the parked bike and the two people in front oif it and the colour reproduction of Portra really calming. It would have been nicer if I'd been able to compose slightly differently so that the top right of the image was less prominent as it's a bit distracting but that wasn't possible at the time.
