They were rebuilding this housing estate but it was great to see that they'd got their priorities straight and had got a vending machine set up even while everything was still being built around it. The somewhat lurid colours that Ektar gave were just an added bonus really.

The Bronica SQ is not a traditional street camera, especially not with the prism on top, but it's surprisingly pleasant to use once you get over the fact that it weighs 2.5kg and this was not a million miles off anything I got of this pair with my modern digital camera.

One night in Shinjuku I ran into what appeared to be a protest about environmental issues, the man in the foreground was one of the speakers. There was also music, and people in various costumes like the women in onesies in the background.
